D-Dimer test is for people suffering from:
Symptoms of a blood clot or a condition that causes inappropriate blood clots, like deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), or disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC)
To monitor treatment of DIC and excessive clotting conditions

Main purpose of the D-Dimer test:
To help rule out clotting (thrombotic) episodes
To help diagnose conditions related to thrombosis

Blood sample drawn from a vein in the arm (D-Dimer Blood Test)
