Lipase test is for people suffering from:
Symptoms of a pancreatic disorder, such as severe abdominal pain, fever, loss of appetite, or nausea

Main purpose of the Lipase test:
Primarily used to diagnose and monitor acute pancreatitis
Sometimes used to diagnose & monitor chronic pancreatitis or other pancreatic diseases

Sample Required:
Blood sample drawn from a vein in the arm

Test Preparation Required:
Avoiding eating or drinking everything but water for 8 to 12 hours before the test may be required
Review of ongoing medications and dietary supplements by the doctor
