Anti-HAV IgM Test Interpretation:
HAV IgM antibodies appear at the onset of clinical symptoms and generally persist for 2-4 months
In rare cases, residual antibodies have been known to persist for 6 to 12 months after infection
Positive test indicates recent infection with HAV virus
